i2 Telecom International, Inc. [[ITUI.OB]], a low-cost VoIP telecommunications provider, saw its shares jump more than 30 percent after forming an alliance with Ztar Mobile to become the company’s preferred international long-distance carrier. Under the agreement, Ztar Mobile will power all of its international calls with i2 Telecom’s MyGlobalTalk network and application.
ProtoKinetix, Inc. [[PKTX.OB]], a development stage company that owns worldwide rights to a family of anti-aging glycoproteins, saw its shares rise nearly 30 percent after L’Oreal has applied for a patent using its technology as a basis for a skin lightening agent. If successful, L’Oreal will have to negotiate a license agreement to commercialize the use in any products.
VOIS Inc. [[VOIS.OB]], a development stage social commerce company, saw its shares surge 20 percent after unveiling its newest Twitter-based application called Micro.VOIS.
