BioTime, Inc. (BTIM), China Digital Communication Group (CHID), Savoy Energy Corporation (SNVP), Health Enhancement Products, Inc. (HEPI), and FutureFuel Corporation (FTFL) were among today’s top OTC movers.
BioTime, Inc. [[BTIM.OB]], a biomedical organization engaged in the development of synthetic plasma expanders and blood volume substitute solutions, saw its shares jump more than 10 percent after it entered into a co-marketing agreement whereby Millipore Corporate will distribute BioTime’s ACTCellerate human progenitor cell line.
China Digital Communication Group [[CHID.OB]], a lithium ion battery and battery shell and cap producer, saw its shares surge more than 25 percent after announcing a milestone $4.1 million purchase order with a large Chinese client, which validates its product quality and business model. Meanwhile, many investors find the company’s stock sharply undervalued.
Savoy Energy Corporation [[SNVP.OB]], an oil reseller from previously drilled wells in the United States, saw its shares rise by more than 15 percent after meeting with the Minister of Lands & Mineral Resources for The Republic of Fiji Islands. The conversations centered on stimulating Fiji’s economy through oil exploration licenses, recompletion and work-over activities.
Health Enhancement Products, Inc. [[HEPI.OB]], a producer of natural dietary supplements under the ProAlgaZyme brand name, saw its shares jump more than 12 percent on no news. Earlier this month, the company announced the expansion of its primary facility to double the product it can produce on a daily basis to meet anticipated demand.
FutureFuel Corporation [[FTFL.OB]], a specialty chemical and biodiesel manufacturer for specific customers, didn’t see any jump in its shares, but hit traders’ radar after a $1 million transaction hit the tape at $5.50 per share. The large purchase could signal institutional interest in its stock, which could be a catalyst going forward.
