mPhase Technologies, Inc. [[XDSL.OB]] shares jumped nearly 70 percent after it announced its participation in the upcoming Smart Grid Implementation Summit from August 17-19 in Washington D.C. The summit promotes action among the electric power utility companies, policy stakeholders and smart grid technology companies on grid modernization.
GreenShift Corporation [[GERS.OB]] shares nearly tripled after it received a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent Office for its corn oil extraction patents. The company’s technology increases corn to biofuel yields by 7 percent while reducing fossil fuels used in corn ethanol production process by up to 10 percent. View Article
EnerTeck Corporation [[ETCK.OB]] shares jumped more than 45 percent after it announced a commitment from a U.S. Fortune 500 LTL carrier to use EnerBurn in its trucks nationwide. Some of the clients’ locations may take as much as four months to complete, and no revenue details were given, but investors are bullish on the contract’s prospects.
Unigene Laboratories [[UGNE.OB]] shares jumped more than 20 percent ahead of its first quarter 2009 results due out May 12th at 9:00 EST. The company provides osteoporosis sufferers with a natural and effective treatment called Fortical. The company also reported positive results from its Phase I trial of Enteripep PTH tablets earlier this year.
China Natural Gas, Inc. [[CHNG.OB]] shares rose more than 15 percent ahead of its first quarter 2009 earnings results on Monday, May 11th after the market close. The news comes after a very strong fourth quarter, with a 90.8% increase in income, a 76.2% growth in gross profits and a 62.9% in revenues. Investors are confident that the first quarter will also prove robust.
