Viaspace Inc. (VSPC), Beyond Commerce Inc. (BYOC), Magnum D’Or Resources, Inc. (MDOR), NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (NEOM), and Defense Solutions Holding, Inc. (DFSHE) were among today’s top movers.
Viaspace Inc. [[VSPC.OB]] shares moved up more than 60 percent on heavy volume after energy company announced that Samsung revealed its new military-grade fuel cells powered by a methanol fuel cartridge developed and delivered by Viaspace. Samsung also reported that Frost and Sullivan expects sales of military fuel cells to reach more than 100 million units at a market value of more than $580 million by 2013. Shareholders applauded this move with a sharp rise in Viaspace shares.
Beyond Commerce Inc. [[BYOC.OB]] shares moved up more than 10 percent on heavy volume as last week’s rally extended. Investors are bullish on the company’s new plans to introduce new product lines that it expects to begin contributing to its bottom line as early as 2009. Shares are up more than 200 percent since the beginning of April when the announcements were made.
Magnum D’Or Resources, Inc. [[MDOR.OB]] shares moved up more than eight percent on heavy volume after the company announced a new shipment of Large OTR Tires that set a record for a 95” OTR tire weighing approximately 2,500 pounds. The company plans to extract high grade solid rubber from these tires, which it refers to as “black gold” given their enormous yield.
NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. [[NEOM.OB]] shares dropped nearly 15 percent as investors took profits from a sharp rise over the past month. For the most part, investors seem to remain confident in NeoMedia’s new wireless advertising system that caused the initial rise. The company’s conference call to discuss progress was rescheduled for April 21 at 10am EDT. Shares of the company are up more than 1,500 percent since early February when shares began their rise.
Defense Solutions Holding, Inc. [[DFSHE.OB]] shares rose more than 20 percent in mid-day trading on no new news. Earlier this month, the company announced that it has joined the team producing a NATO-compatible armored personnel carrier, the BTR-4, for the world military and police markets. Ringgold estimates that 2,500 to 4,000 units will be needed over the next ten years with an average acquisition cost of $1.5 to $2 million each, depending on configuration.
