Alloy Steel International Inc. (AYSI), Electronic Game Card, Inc. (EGMI), and NewCardio, Inc. (NWCI) are three OTC market movers worth watching during today’s session.
Alloy Steel International Inc. (AYSI), which manufactures and distributes a water-resistant alloy overlay wear plate, saw its shares jump more than 10 percent on higher-than-average volume after it reported a pre-tax operating profit for its fourth quarter. The company expects the profit to amount to approximately $2.24 million, from a loss of $960,500 during the year-ago period.
Electronic Game Card, Inc. (EGMI), which manufactures pocket-sized gaming devices, saw its shares jump nearly 10 percent as investors continue to look ahead to a conference call scheduled for next week. On February 10, 2010, the company will update shareholders on its progress during the past few months, according to a recent press release.
NewCardio, Inc. (NWCI), a development-stage cardiac diagnostic company, saw its shares jump more than 15 percent amid renewed takeover rumors. The original rumors sparked from a BayStreet article suggesting that the company’s many patents and two of its offers could add value to another player in the $5 billion market segment.
