MultiCell Technologies, Inc. (MCET). Yongye Biotechnology International, Inc. (YGII), and Nutra Pharma Corporation (NPHC) were among today’s top OTC movers.
MultiCell Technologies, Inc. [[MCET.OB]], a biopharmaceutical company targeting degenerative neurological diseases, saw its shares jump more than 300 percent after it was granted a U.S. patent for its Fa2N-4 and Ea1C-35 immortalized human hepatocyte cell lines. The company has already licensed the rights to use these lines at several pharmaceutical companies and plans to continue marketing this product through Corning Inc. to the industry.
Yongye Biotechnology International, Inc. [[YGII.OB]], which sells fulvic acid based liquid and powder nutrient compounds for plant and animal feed used in the agricultural, saw its shares jump more than 15 percent after announcing higher-than-expected second-quarter earnings. Net income grew 58.1% to $11.3 million as revenues grew 162.9% to $46.3 million.
Nutra Pharma Corporation [[NPHC.OB]], a development-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on neurological disorders, cancer, autoimmune, and infectious diseases, saw its shares ump more than 80 percent after launching its over-the-counter pain reliever, Cobroxin, for the treatment of Stage 2 chronic pain. It is the first OTC pain reliever clinically proven to treat Stage 2 chronic pain, and investors are bullish on its prospects.
