With companies such as Amedisys Inc. (AMED) and Stryker Corporation (SYK) raising the bar on medical device manufacturing, there’s no doubt that the emerging player in the field Ingen Technologies Inc. (IGNT), will compete.

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT) the leading global medical device manufacturer of intelligent oxygen nasal cannulas focused on the $4 billion respiratory market, today announced that its innovative SMART Nasal Cannula with Oxyview technology are addressing unmet needs with an expected $200 million in revenues over the next 5 years.

Ingen has recently noticed a nice spike in sales from respiratory equipment manufacturers who require Ingen’s gas flow meter technology for their own medical equipment.

Since 2007 when Ingen first introduced Oxyview to the world of COPD patients, the acceptance of the product has been impressive. There is no other product like Oxyview that provides the additional information that patients and clinicians rely upon. With approximately 23 million patients in the U.S. — and an estimated 600 million patients worldwide — who suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Ingen stands to capture $200M in revenues over the next 5 years. Since an average COPD patient uses two to three nasal cannulas each month to prevent bacteria build-up within the device, creating a growing recurring demand for the cannula is an additional benefit to Ingen’s bottom line.

View Fact Sheet: http://www.ingen-tech.com/PDFbin/FactSheet.pdf

Ingen’s SMART Nasal Cannula is superior and very different than that of the conventional oxygen nasal cannulas on the market that now are commoditized products and mass produced overseas and offer patients very little peace-of-mind. As a result, it is not uncommon for home care providers to make frequent visits to oxygen patients concerned that oxygen is not flowing from the tank to the cannula, since there is no way to accurately verify it.

Ingen’s one-of-a-kind, patented, high quality SMART Nasal Cannula solves this problem by confirming the flow of oxygen and proper equipment function at roughly the same cost as a traditional cannula. The result is lower costs for home care providers and greater peace-of-mind for in-home oxygen patients with respiratory diseases like COPD.

“Ingen’s innovative oxygen cannulas are rapidly gaining traction due to their unique ability to lower costs for home care providers and provide peace-of-mind for oxygen patients,” said Ingen CEO Scott Sand. “We have already booked more than $160,000 in revenues during the fourth quarter with $300,000 more in OEM orders backlogged, in addition to $1.4M in government contracts — and we’re just scratching the surface.”

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT), which operates in the same industry as Amedisys, Inc. (AMED) and Rotech Healthcare Inc. (ROHI), announced that it secured a new Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contract with MediGroup Physician Services.

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT), an ISO Certified medical device manufacturer with an emerging new medical product line for the respiratory market worth an estimated $4 billion in the U.S. and $8 billion globally, today announced a new Group Purchasing Organization (“GPO”) contract with MediGroup Physician Services.

Missouri-based MediGroup Physician Services is the nation’s largest GPO for the alternate site marketplace, which consists of specialty physicians and surgery centers. MediGroup provides its customers with the purchasing power that is traditionally reserved for hospitals, while enabling participating manufacturers and distributors to deliver products and services to a focused demographic.
A Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) is an entity that helps health care providers – such as hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies – realize cost-savings and efficiencies by aggregating purchasing volume and using that leverage to negotiate discounts with manufacturers, distributors and other vendors. There are more than 600 organizations in the United States that participate in some form of group purchasing. About 30 of the 600 are true-GPOs that negotiate sizeable contracts for their members. The remaining organizations may offer their members access to larger groups’ contracts and negotiate agreements with regional vendors for some services. MediGroup was also profiled as of the leading market participants in GPO sector in Knowledge Source’s report, titled “Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) Market Overview,” which examined the industry’s competitive landscape.

“The company is making great progress. We have worked hard and completed the ISO 13485:2003 Certification required for export sales, our partners with the GSA market, KGMS Business Solutions are closing government contracts domestically, our domestic sales have increased 100% just in the past 30 days, and we have officially closed and signed a contract with MediGroup with hopes to open markets with hospital-based buying groups. Our respiratory product line, one of the product features at this year’s MedTrade Conference in Las Vagas next month, will revolutionize the oxygen therapy market by offering more assurance directly to the patient and care-giver, while improving care management between the patient and provider,” stated Scott R. Sand, Ingen’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Sands will discuss the new contract on the Money Channel’s American Scene Radio with host Steve Crowley today at 10:24AM eastern standard time.

Ingen Technologies projects that the SMART Nasal Cannula will bring $10M in revenues, and the new INGEN Pulse Oximeter an additional $1M in revenues in 2010.

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT), which competes with companies like Siemens AG (SI) and Stryker Corporation (SYK), reported a 17.7% increase in sales for its last two quarters, with an expected larger increase over the next two quarters as its Oxyview product line continues to gain acceptance in the marketplace as the next generation of oxygen therapy devices.

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT), a leading manufacturer of respiratory medical devices, recently announced that it has increased its marketing and advertising budget now that ISO Certification is near completion, and the Government Services Administration application is near approval.

Ingen will debut the new I-Pulse Oximeter and the new Smart Nasal Cannula with Oxyview technology this coming spring at MedTrade in Las Vegas, the American Thoracic Society in New Orleans, and the Alpha-1 Association’s National Education Conference in Orlando.

On May 12, 2010, Ingen will be an exhibitor at the MedTrade Spring convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. The convention connects the HME industry, and allows respiratory leaders to stay ahead of HME industry changes and find the latest tools to help their clients. This is the largest home medical equipment convention in the western U.S. and brings more exhibitors, more ideas, and more products than ever before together under one roof. This is Ingen’s opportunity to develop strategic OEM partners and new distributors for the Oxyview product line.

On May 14, 2010, Ingen’s consulting partner, MedCo Forum, will introduce the Oxyview product line at the American Thoracic Society in New Orleans, Louisiana. The American Thoracic Society (ATS) is committed to disseminating the latest advances, nationally and internationally, in the fields of lung disease, sleep disorders and critical care medicine. The annual International Conference has become the premier, international forum for physicians and scientists who work in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. The company will reach 13,000 pulmonologists through the advertising in MedCo Forum’s ATS issue that is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2010. MedCo Forum will also host the Oxyview advertising on their website.

On June 11, 2010, Ingen will be an exhibitor at the Alpha-1 Association’s National Education Conference in Orlando, Florida. The Alpha-1 Association is a member-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to identifying those affected by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1) and to improve the quality of their lives through support, education, advocacy and to encourage participation in research. Alpha-1-Antitrypsin Deficiency(Alpha-1) is a genetic disorder that can cause liver and lung disease in children and adults.

“We look forward to attending these major conventions this spring as we continue to make progress with the introduction of the new I-Pulse Oximeter and the Smart Nasal Cannula with Oxyview technology. We thank all of our shareholders for their continued support and look forward to a very successful future for everyone,” stated Scott R. Sand, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT), a leading manufacturer of respiratory medical devices and operating in the same industry as Stryker Corporation (SYK) and Medtronic Inc. (MDT), announced plans to quickly ramp up its revenues and generate shareholder value.

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT), a leading manufacturer of respiratory medical devices, recently announced today that the CEO and Chairman of the Board, Scott R. Sand, has issued the following statement.

“Ingen Technologies is strongly committed to the success of this company and continues driving forward in a direction that is within the best interest of its shareholders. There are several matters to discuss that are related to our current and future growth.

“The first issue to discuss is our final ISO 13485 Certification audit. We have invested considerable time and money with Emergo Consulting Group to prepare our company over the past 6 months for the final audit with the ISO Notified Body, BSI. The Irvine-California office of BSI is scheduled to perform the Stage-I audit on February 5, 2010 and the Stage-II audit on March 3, 2010. The company will receive its ISO Certification from the Notified Body BSI and immediately launch distribution programs for the People’s Republic of China, Japan, Canada, Australia and the entire European Communities. The company has back-orders for Australia, China, Canada, and various countries of the European Communities of approximately 60,000 Oxyview units in value of $200,000. Our projected export sales for 2010 exceed $10M, and will continue to grow.

“The second issue to discuss is the progress of our GSA application. The company engaged KGMA Business Solutions to prepare and submit the GSA application on 9/22/2009. The CEO of KGMA Business Solutions, Kenneth Kurk, stated ‘Our experience is anywhere from 3-6 months which is actually pretty good. We have always, 100% of the time, been able to get our clients on GSA.’ The GSA application has been under review for 4 months, and is near completion. KGMA has recently signed contracts with Ingen to start building the government distribution channels.

“The third issue to discuss is domestic sales and distribution. In the last 30 days the company has experienced interest from hospital based facilities in both the Oxyview Nasal Cannula and the new Oxyview Pulse Oximeter. Orders have increased and our marketing is targeted to hospitals, DME, Home Health Care facilities and Oxygen providers. The Oxyview Nasal Cannula is a revolutionary product that turns the conventional cannula into a Smart Cannula, resulting in better oxygen therapy and oxygen management. Amsino International signed a supply agreement with Ingen and is preparing to partner with us in the manufacture of our products and reduction in manufacturing costs, as well as considering and evaluating national distribution of the Oxyview products. Amsino offers 400 national distributors inclusive of Baxter and Cardinal Health. The company has also gained the respect and support of the COPD Foundation and has recognized the value that the Oxyview products offer the COPD community in the USA. Their support has resulted in national branding of the Oxyview products within the respiratory industry. The company has a 12 month contract with the COPD Foundation for advertising and various product support programs.

“Lastly, we seek the support of our shareholders and future investors while this company prepares for a successful year. This company has increased in value with its intellectual property, research & development, new medical product lines, inventory and other assets. In the past 120 days, the company has reduced the note with the various funds managed by the NIR Group from $4.5M to $2.1M. The company will prepare a share buy-back program at the time when these notes have been paid off. These achievements will result in stronger earnings and reflect upon the value for our shareholders,” stated Scott R. Sand, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.
