Wiless Controls Inc. (OTC: WILS) recently announced the acquisition of the Next Galaxy Corp. Founded by Mary Spio, a highly respected figure in the world of digital media distribution and video technology, the newly acquired company aims to bring technology solutions to market that make it easier for people to meet, communicate, and connect through shared interests, events, and experiences.
Initially, the company will focus on the launch of CEEK.com, a new era in entertainment and socialization, where Augmented and Virtual Reality meet social networking with a blend of VR, AR enabled and real life offerings. The goal is to simulate the communal experiences of attending live events with friends from anywhere and anytime using the power of cutting-edge technology.
Facebook Inc.’s (NASDAQ: FB) acquisition of Oculus Rift demonstrates the enormous potential of the new AG and VR industries, while Google Inc.’s (NASDAQ: GOOG) Glass also aims to fill a similar void in the market. Investors may want to pay close attention to the stock over the coming quarters as it rolls out the unique technology into a market that’s well positioned to grow rapidly over the coming years.
