EcoloCap Solutions Inc. (ECOS) – now Micro Bubble Technologies Inc. – could see explosive growth, along the lines of Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (ABAT) and Fuel Tech Inc. (FTEK), with its game-changing technologies in the growing “green” battery and fuel markets.
Micro Bubble Technologies Inc. [[ECOS.OB]] (“MBT”), a “green” nanotechnology company focused on energy solutions, effectively completed the acquisition of EcoloCap Solutions Ltd. on September 8, 2009. Through a 50% ownership of Micro Bubble Technology Korea, MBT develops products and services based on its Research & Development in Nanotechnology.
Best of Breed Batteries
Based on Carbon Nano Tube (CNT) technology, MBT’s cost-effective batteries have demonstrated 8 times the reserve capacity of traditional lead-acid batteries, 2.5 times the storage capacity of lithium-ion batteries and a substantially shorter recharge time of just five to 10 minutes – all for the same price as a traditional lead-acid battery.
The CNT battery technology can be applied to a variety of different industries. For example, the cellular industry uses batteries in order to enable their towers to utilize power efficiently. During peak periods, the towers operate using the batteries, while using the power grid and allowing the batteries to recharge in non-peak periods when electricity is cheaper. And, CNT batteries offer clear advantages over the alternatives, given their higher reserve capacity and low recharge time.
A Revolutionary New Fuel
MBT has also developed a new EM-Fuel technology that reduces emissions and increases efficiency in engines using kerosene, diesel, bio-diesel, waste oil, water contaminated oil, and “bunker” oils. While traditional fuels do not fully combust – emitting large amounts of particulate matter – the company’s fuel fuses oil with water and a special additive in order to attain a 60% reduction in emissions, 40% reduction in oil consumption, and up to 25% cost reduction.
MBT itself derives revenues by not only selling the machine, but also by selling the proprietary additive that is required for each gallon. In fact, the company generates revenues of $0.50 per gallon created using its Nanomizer, enabling them to realize a recurring revenue stream on every project that they sign.
MBT could pay big dividends down the road as these technologies successfully come to market. CNT batteries and EM-Fuel have not only demonstrated superior performance versus their industrial peers, but commercialization of these products has already begun as the company continues to see strong interest on a daily basis for the products. At the same time, these products only scratch the surface of the possible applications for MBT’s nanotechnologies down the road.
