ESWW Extends Emerging Technology Listing with U.S. EPA
Environmental Solutions Worldwide (ESWW), which competes with companies like General Environmental Management, Inc. (GEVI) and Environnement SA (ALTEV), continues to make progress towards EPA approval of its proprietary XtrmCat Diesel Oxidation Catalyst technology.
Environmental Solutions Worldwide Inc. (ESWW) announced earlier this week that its wholly owned subsidiary ESW Canada Inc. has received notification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that the “Emerging Technology” listing of its proprietary XtrmCat Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) technology has been extended until October 2010.
In October 2008, ESW Canada became the first company in the industry to achieve the status of “Emerging Technology” for its proprietary XtrmCat DOC on marine applications. Since then, the company has been diligently pursuing the EPA verification/certification of the technology as per the initial listing requirement.
The EPA’s extension was granted after a comprehensive investigation of the progress ESW Canada had achieved with the XtrmCat towards the final verification/certification over the past year on Electro-Motive Diesel 2 Stroke marine/locomotive engines. The company is now working diligently to generate the final field data required for completion.
